About this property
Newly opened and refurbished in October 2020, Wanderlust NZ is a waterfront hostel located in a historical building in downtown Tauranga. It features a large balcony area overlooking the harbour and free high-speed unlimited throughout.
Among the facilities at this property are 2 spacious, shared kitchens overlooking the water and a separate shared lounge area, and a specialised private group area. We have upmarket private rooms with ensuites to shared dorms with or without ensuites with eco-friendly bedding and tastefully decorated. This hostel has sustainability at it’s core.
There are a variety of bars and cafes situated a short walk from the hostel. The bus station is a 1-minute walk from Wanderlust NZ, and the Visitor Information Centre is located next door. The nearest airport is Tauranga Airport, 5 km from Wanderlust NZ.
There is no parking onsite but plenty of near parking. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.
The property will charge the total amount of the booking 3 days before arrival.
A 2% surcharge will be added to ALL bookings paid by debit/credit card.
In case your card is not valid, the property will contact you asking for new card details. If you dont provide the details within 24 hours, the property is entitled to cancel your booking.
For bookings of 6 or more guests, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit to confirm booking + a cleaning fee of $10/ pers will be added.
For group of 4 or more guests, you can contact us first to confirm the allocation of the rooms which fit together before making reservation.
A full non-refundable prepayment is required for bookings over bank holiday weekends and with large festivals in town such as One Love, Bay Dreams and Jazz Festival.
