The southernmost resort in Japan, located on the remote island of Kohama, 5 minutes from Kohama Port by car, Haimarubushi offers spacious accommodations with ocean or garden views. A free shuttle is available from Kohama Port. Kohama Port is a 30-minute ferry ride from Ishigaki Port, while Ishigaki Port is a 30-minute drive from New Ishigaki Airport. Free WiFi is available in all areas and guests can enjoy marine sports such as diving, snorkeling and windsurfing.
All guest rooms are non-smoking and air-conditioned. Rooms feature a safety deposit box and a flat-screen TV. A fridge and an electric kettle with green tea bags are included. The en suite bathroom comes with a hairdryer, slippers and nightwear.
An outdoor swimming pool is open during the summer season and massages can be requested for an extra cost. Haimarubushi Hotel is a 10-minute drive from Kohama Folk Museum and a 15-minute drive from Churasan Observatory. Kohamajima Country Club is only a 15-minute walk away. Guests with tattoos may not be permitted to use the property’s public bathing areas or other facilities where the tattoos might be visible to other guests.

Kohama Island can be reached by public ferry from Ishigaki Island. It is available every hour between 07:00-17:00. Operated by Anei Kanko and Yaeyama Kanko Ferry Company.
