This family-run hotel is located directly in the forest and is the perfect place for those seeking peace and quiet and nature lovers.
The in-house restaurant is open daily from Monday to Saturday from 16:00 and Sunday from 11:00-14:00 and offers fine Thuringian cuisine with regional and seasonal products. When the weather is fine, guests can choose between seats on the outdoor terrace or in the restaurant.
Of the 40 rooms, 30 are New Style rooms - renovated in 2022, equipped to a very high technical standard, furnished in a modern style and complemented with matching, high-quality natural materials. 10 rooms are Old School - rooms for guests who like it a little simpler, cozy and rustically furnished, with warm wooden elements. The Oldschool rooms can be booked with four-legged friends due to the flooring. All rooms have a bathroom with shower and WC, TV and child-size or queen-size beds. All rooms have a view of the forest, as well as insect screens in the windows.
Guests start their day with a rich breakfast buffet with a large selection and specialties such as homemade jams. In fine weather, breakfast can be taken on the terrace.
The surrounding area is ideal for hiking and cycling. The Brotterode summer toboggan run and the Trusetaler waterfall, the highest natural waterfall in Thuringia, are just 25 km away.
